Work in progress Wednesday

My foot is wrapped in a wonderful pillow of softness right now. That has to be one of the weirder sentences I've ever written but I can't think of any other way to describe my handknit socks. I tried it on so I could see how it was fitting so far and it feels amazing. I think I'm hooked on sock knitting!

The pattern is Silky Soft Socks done with Premier Serenity Sock yarn on size 2 needles. There are definitely a few mistakes - the ribbing is a little loose and it's a little wonky where I picked up the stitches on one side. But I think practice will resolve the issue with picking up the stitches. I made need to switch to a smaller needle for the ribbing next time. I also plan to cast one next one as soon as I finish so I don't end up with second sock syndrome.
